AMAZING! i just bought this product and tried it. wow so easy to use and fast and strong holding. my putty days are over after trying this. if you have been thinking of trying it ...do . you will be happy.
i glued a carnation coral under a rock hanging downward. a mushroom rock in a spot that it created a ledge. and a pineapple tree onto the very edge of a rock. i honestly think i will not be able to move any of these items without breaking them off the rock, thats how strong the hold is.

you put the glue on what you want to glue down than put the item in the water in the spot you want it. wiggle a bit hold 10 seconds...done! :) wiggle the item your gluing down that is.

    I agree, good stuff!
I still use puddy when needed - make a little ball of puddy, then cover the ball with ECG and mush it into place.

How is this any different from standard super glue gel, which you can get online in $10 2 oz bottles (about the same as the $20 bottle of Ecotech Coral Glue)?

I know it's probably good stuff, but I'd be interested in knowing if it's any different than any other super glue gel type product "CA glue" aka "cyanoacrylate glue".

i have used super glue gel, but when using super glue gel i found it didn't do some things and i still needed putty. with this i can say i don't see i will be needing putty again. this is way better than super glue gel. it may be because its thicker in consistency? just put a large blob on the piece you want to glue down and its stuck on there. i glued a nice sized top heavy coral to the side of a rock, i went back and checked it an hour later and its amazing how firmly its holding.

Perhaps the Ecotech Coral Glue is a stiffer gel consistency. I'd have to try it to see.... but then again I'm never going to pay $20 for a 2 ounce bottle of it lol. At least, not with the small tank I have. I only need those small $1 packs (which are not cheaper, by volume, just cheaper, because I can buy $1 worth at a store 1 mile from my house)

The difference is you can use it under water. You can stack multiple layers of glue for those hard to glue places. It bonds in 5 seconds out of water and around 30 seconds in water. I've used a few different materials and I think I like this the best.

So many frag glues and adhesives that we all use. We all have our likes and dislikes. Much of it depends on your needs.
Speed is one of the biggest needs it seams. good old Super glue gel has proven to be one of the oldest and most used. And most new products are all varients of superglue.

Price is some what important as well. If your not glueing often it seems a bad idea to buy anything more then a dollar store 3 pack of superglue gel. Because once you open one of these tubes the next day its no longer useable.

I however I found a great product IMO in an unlikely source. Loctite. Loctite 416 is much like super glue gel. But I have had the same bottle with no cloging for a year. I can use it underwater creating a nice blob then pressing something onto it. Or for smaller applications I remove from water pat both items semi dry with a paper towel and apply glue to a single surface and attach. Dip in water and its instantly attached. Being able to use in and out of water as well non cloging and instant bond has worked quite well for me. Granted LocTite is expensive but if your a small time fragger like myself it may be the last time you ever buy a bottle. PS keeping it in the refrigerator as suggested by the product label is not required but makes it even better.
