anyone had any experience of dwarf angels in SPS tanks?

I have had 4 different species of dwarfs ( flame, beauty, fireball and rusty) that have all nipped at softies, zoanthids, leathers etc , but I have never kept one in an SPS tank

are dwarf angels as likely to peck at SPS corals ? or would a SPS corals be less at risk than their softie relations?

basically, is the risk lower, higher or same?

want to try another flame, dont want to lose my SPS to it.

I have a flameback angel that does nip a little. Once in a while he will nip at a the clam, he leaves my sps alone though. The only sps I have are 2 monti one red and one green, and then I just picked up a digitata. I wouldnt say he is reef safe but he is not real harmful to the sps.........yet. If he ever turns to being a chronic nipper I will take him out.

I had 3 dwarfs (A flame, a beauty, and a singapore) and all three nipped. Seem to prefer SPS even over softies.
I wouldn't risk it. Just my .13654 CNY after exchange for ya ;)

i think your SPS are going to be ok.. but they need to be monitored. what is your tank size just out of curiosity?

From the majority everything I have read about dwarf angels nipping, SPS (mostly the extended polyps) seemed to be at higher risk that softies and LPS. I had a coral beauty for a while and had 0 problems with nipping.

steve, If you ask me and I know it's just another opinion but I personally will never put an angel with sps again. They seem to like these more than they do the softies for some reason. I think their mouths are a little bit better suited to scrape the flesh off of the sps
