Dwarf Angel has broke his beak

hey all, i don't have time to snap off any photos, probably later this afternoon. but today i noticed my coral beauty looks as though a chunk of his upper lip has been torn off. he doesn't have any other spots and hes swimming and eating well. could this be anything, or is it possible that he just did it to himself?

 

perhaps he got scared and hit some live rock? my coral beauty has injured himself quite a bit by hitting live rock. had a nice gash on his head once that really scared me.

 

Make sure you keep the water quality extremely high to keep infections at lowest risk. Do you have any tank mates with him that he could have had a fight with?

 

the other fish ive got are two clowns, a sixline and a diamond goby. the only thing i think could have done is would be the female clown. shes mean as heck, but really doesnt bug him much. it looks a little better today, i think he probably just got spooked and ran into a rock or something.

any idea how long it'll take for this to heal up? if at all?

 

My chevron got a gash on is lip and it healed in a matter of days.
