So, I have a 10g and a 20g tank I want to do something with. First thought was to use the 10G as the DT and run the 20 as a larger volume fuge/sump... now I'm thinking maybe that would be pointless over kill, and just use the 10 as the sump/fuge.

    Any comments?

You could do it either eay depending on the space you have to put your dt. How about setting up the 10 as the dt and the 20 as a second dt that you can view but with different types of macroalgea. Pods can be very interesting to watch.

i would make the decision based on the stocking plan, if its heavily stocked i would use the 20 as the sump so you could get a bigger skimmer.

or maybe just do the 20 long dt and make a equipment area like i did you may want a hob skimmer, as the 125 didnt stay on long as it was overkill big time
