    i have a 55g DT and would like to maybe put some plants inside. im running around 700w lighting 500 of that is MH. is it possible? if so could i get some names please.

    I would recommend corals over algae (other than seagrass and mangroves most saltwater "plants" are actually macro algae). The problem with algae is it tends to grow in higher nutrient systems than most corals. Also, tends to prefer lower kelvin lighting, less flow and often lower temperatures. Also, if the nutrients are high, and other conditions right, it can take over, especially the ones that are easier to keep. Some people do though, but more often it dies off.

    i use some Dragons breath in my tank and there are some other safe ones that can be used too, just make sure to stay away from things that will grow intrusive.
