    i think if figured out something i did wrong... i was going at a low speed, like 2-4 revs per sec. should i be going really fast or slow with the accual drill speed?

    Have the drill on high speed, as in how fast it will turn the chuck. But you should go slow on the trigger. Too much pressure, too fast, will result in another broken tank.

    Take it to a local glass store...they'll do it for like $10
    Thats what I did for my sump.

    Just make a large reservoir circle around the hole with plumbers putty and add water and glass cutting oil. You can get glass cutting oil at any hobby store cheap. Don't push on the glass hard at all or it will break.

    yea +1 on that let the drill do the work
