Thanks Shin! I was dosing eight.four for a while, but then I realized that my calcium levels were through the roof. I have since stopped, and this has helped with my problem zoas too, they're opening up again! Even a polyp that I thought was gone has reappeared.

So it has been a long time since I posted any new updates, and I figured since I am about to tear my tank apart and move I should post my new adds from a few months ago up! I made another denver trip and bought a ton of corals, and I have been really happy with them so far!

Sadly I have to take it all down and ship my livestock and rock this week, due to the fact that I have a new job in Alaska! So I am going to go home and reclaim my first tank from my dad, which will allow me to have more fun with fish and corals! It will be a 38 gallon tank, so I can hopefully get some more active swimmers. Im sure my current fish will be very happy too.

So my tank is taken down, and my fish and corals are boxed up and shipped! Thanks again Alex for helping me get everything packed up! My fish are currently being picked up by my dad in Anchorage, and they should be in a tank within an hour or so. Here is the tank they will be moving into. The lights that Im using on it arent on the tank in this pic

    Seaclone Skimmer

So it is time for a looong overdue update. There have been many changes and lots of news!

My fish and coral made the move perfectly, and were very happy when I arrived. I unfortunately, did not have such a smooth journey.

I hit a moose about 70 miles outside of Anchorage on the last day of my roadtrip, and totaled my car. Fortunately my girlfriend and I were completely uninjured, the car took all of the damage and protected us. It was quite the welcome back! On the plus side I ended up with a new Mazda CX5, and I am very happy with it.

Since I have moved up I have made several changes to the tank. The biggest one is a new light! I have an evergrow LED fixture on the tank now, since my old PC unit decided to die on me. I have also swapped out the powerheads for smaller, nice units and added more rock!

Unfortunately I have gone backwards in my stock list. I bought a royal gramma from the LFS, after having watched for a week and made sure it was healthy. Or so I thought. Within a week of it being in my tank, it had developed a nasty case of ick, and it soon spread to the rest of my stock. Long story short I lost everything except for my female clown. She is now the only fish in my tank since I have been letting it sit since everything finally cleared up, and I am in the process of planning a QT tank so this never happens again.

I had an arrow crab for a while, but it grew too big very quickly, and was traded in for coral :)

In happier news, I recently got engaged to my girlfriend of 3.5 years! She got a job up here the same time I did, and moved up with me. Between getting engaged and my new job I have been very busy, which is why I have been gone from 3reef for so long!

Currently I just finished adding about 10lbs of rock to the tank, and filling out the scape. I have posted some before and after pics below to show the difference in the scape, and will take/post more when I get my new flipper/have full daylights on! I am also fighting some slime algae, but the removal of recent discoveries (fish remains in the filter) should help with that a lot!

Here are a bunch of photos to wrap this up and show how the corals are looking, since they are looking great. The last one is my tank as of this evening, complete with new scape!

My chalice, which is probably double this size by now
