    Does anybody here know anything about these guys, im looking to buy one but I cant find a whole lot about them, I do believe they are sand sifters which is great I need one, but other than that I have no information about them.

    need an established sand bed to feed on. considered tough to get to eat. does a great job sifting sand, but will make a mess with it.

    also if you get one make sure its fat. most will have a sunken abdomen, from starvation.

    i lost one to ich about a month after getting it. (it took me about 2 weeks to get it to eat)

    mine didn't make too much of a mess, but did get sand on some of my corals at the bottom. ended up starving b/c he was not an aggressive eater and by the time it was too late he wouldn't come out of his cave. oh yeah, they make caves under your rocks so make sure they are stable.

    So is this a fish you would say be fine with an expierence beggener reefer. My sand bed is about 2 years old dont know how establish that is.

    when you say two years old what do you mean? like you took over the tank after two years and nothing was moved or changed... or you bought the set up and moved the tank and the sand and everything?

    The system is about three years old the sand bed has only benn two years. I just say im beggeniner because a had some water quality issues but now everything is okay just dealing with a small phosphate problem.
