    thank you.

    Bulk Reef Supply

I use this to dose. I find it simple and very cheap. I have enough minerals in buckets to last me several years... for the price of a few month supply if I bought everything by the bottle. Good deal in my book 8)

wow, checked it out, you get all that for 50 bucks?
and are the 3 one gallon jugs supplied the jugs you have connected to the dosing system, I assume they are although I cant see the handles in your picture.

that seems real good value to me

    Thank you

Pretty much. They are the same jugs, I just have them turned. They came with pumps originally and spare lids. I was using the pump (manual push pump), but now I have holes in the provided lids with my tubing running through it.

    Good stuff.

Very nice setup! That's going to be really nice one it's all dialed in.

Also, BRS are the best. :)

not sure how old this post is but I love it. It is what I was wanting to do from the get go. I was just wondering about the link that you posted. It doesn't work and I was going to see if you could repost it? It's the link on the additives that you are using. I would love to know if the setup is still going good and how well your corals are doing? Thanks

is this the package your using? Two Part Calcium and Alkalinity Total Package (Large) - English
    once again thanks

They recently remodeled the site so that's probably what broke that link, but yes that's it. All of their additives are the same on their site they just package them slightly differently/in different quantities, or with slightly different accessories. If you're using automatic dosing pumps you may not need that whole package so it might be better just to get bulk quantities of the chemicals and a couple bottles/caps etc, it depends what you want to do with it and how much demand you have in your tank or how large your system is, if you will need a lot it's cheaper to buy their larger buckets of the chemicals.

I have my auto-dosing set up and am mixing my first batch of chemicals now. I have the same pump as Peredhil; slightly different set up since I don't have a equipment room and have to cram everything in my tank stand.

For the mixing sodium bicarbonate, I am having trouble getting it to go into solution. I am warming the water some now as suggested at BRS. Anything else to try?

Also, assuming warming to mixture helps it go into solution, when the solution cools will it parcipate out again??

    Thanks
    Mark
