Does your pump output break the water's surface?

    I have a water surface level return/intake as well as a lower return/intake on the BC29HQI. Thanks to the top intake, I've never had any surface skum, not even in the least bit....however, I do get a little bit of surface scum in chamber 3 because the pump sucks in water on the bottom of chamber 3 and the surface of the water doesn't see a ton of movement. I definitely need more CO2/O2 exchange because I'm probably only getting a little exchange from my cheap Oceanic protien skimmer that came free with my tank. As soon as I get home I'm redirecting my pump output nozzle.

    Good stuff....Im hoping for the same as my Royal Gamma just fought off Ich on his own, this week, and now my Clown has a single white spot that he should hopefully fight off.
