Buddy had it, took out 40+ fish worth a couple grand. His name tank sat lifeless for 3 months.

    Good luck.

If you're had the clown for 3 years, where did the disease come from?
    Glad it's doing better

Good news ladies and gentlemen, Thompson is alive and well after a few dips in Para Guard. My LfS saw him and suggested I try this instead of the formalin. (Which I tried first). He's swimming in his anemone again and appears to be a happy guy. They thought he had a bacterial infection!

Thanks for all your suggestions, as always you guys rock.

Glad it all worked out and caught it before it got bad! Do you think it was bacterial or actual brooklynella (parasite)?

    Well
I'm not even close to an expert but I'm guessing bacteria. Or even just stress from my stupid salt adding endeavor. Either way I'm still watching him every close.

Ah, well again I'm glad it's all taken care of.

Todd raised a good point though.

It is a good question. If I did stress him out from adding the extra salt to quickly, couldn't it have been ICH from being stressed? I have been reading trying to figure it out so I don't do it again, (if indeed I did do it) and it appears that ICH is like MRSA on human skin, all people have it on their skin but are more susceptible when immune compromised or stressed. Isn't this true with ICH? Or even bacterial infections?

Yes, that's exactly how it works, from my understanding.

However it doesn't really look like ich to me. As you said a lowered immune response from stress can lead to any sort of disease or infection, or the lack of a defense against these.

Has anything else changed or been added?

I added a bristle tooth and he died. But I really thought it was just that he got stuck behind a rock and to the pump. He's looked totally healthy and I dipped him before I integrated him.
