Tank is twelve weeks old now. AND it appears that my sand is shrinking. It's not going into the overflow or the sump. The level appears to be down by about 1/4 of an inch.

    Any ideas as to why??

How much flow do you have? It's probably being moved by the currents into space where there was none or little before.

1430GPH flowing through the sump/fuge and the tank + MP40 set on lagoon mode ~2/3 max which would be ~2100GPH at the peak - Don't know what the average would be.

The sand will settle, and any air that was trapped when you added the sand will slowly escape.
