So my LFS was out of Salifert and i needed a test to back up conflicting results with my API and i picked up the Nutrafin by Hagen KH/GH test.
It says end color should be yellow/lime.Well what is it yellow or lime??? Its like a three drop difference so does anyone use it and what color do you shoot for?

    Thanks

wow, I have the same kit for very similar reasons ,
I get either 8 or 9 DKH when I use this kit due to same issue Im never sure if the 8th drop was the right target colour

you need to match the colour on the back of the leaflet and a white background to view against and also in my case a second opinion always helps , so I ask my wife or my eldest son

Yea i was getting a 9 DK or drops on the API and i got about a 9.5 DK or (17 drops to YELLOW) on the Nutrafin.I went with yellow cause its what im used to but anyone with experience with this test please chime in...
Also the match color on the back of the Nutrafin instructions is yellow.I dont know why they say yellow/lime in the text

Yea so to update this post I finally got my hands on a Salifert Alk test and retested perams.12.5 Dk !!! Not that I mind the number just way off from the Nutrafin(Hagen)9.5
The 12.5 is a little higher than Im used to but I will just let it come down naturally that and I need to do a W/C anyway this weekend.Iv Also read that a higher Alk can help with GHA so i guess that is good since i have a little.
    current perams
    Mag 1410
    Alk 12.5
    Cal 450
    S.G 1.025
