Does anyone turn off there PH's at night?

    I do just assuming that its more peaceful for the livestock, and i was wondering if anyone else does?

    No. Ocean currents don't stop at night. When you shut them off you are reducing the oxygen content in the water and making it harder on your fish, keep the water moving so you get oxygen transfer on the surface.

    Peaceful? Lower DO and the inability for corals to actually breath is more stressful. The ocean doesn't stop moving at night ;) Even at night it's got more activity then your PH provide.

    Ok, There was still another pump going and a fan blowing across the top. I won't be doing that anymore, dont know why I didn't think about that. Thanks!

    I worry about critters or even small fish getting in there while they are off and chopping them up when it turns back on.
