I dont worry anymore. I guess I have excepted the risk. All you can do is to make sure you have done your due dilligance on the setup to eliminate as many of the hazards associated with the hobby and go from there. Your house can burn down from a short in a light, ceiling fan, etc... It can flood out from busted water line on the ice maker, washing machines, etc...Dont worry about it. Its not worth it. The floor will get wet, sooner or later.

    Me? Worry? Never! NOT!
After I got the rock put in Sunday, we turned the pump on. I went & took a shower while my bf went to the store. As I'm drying off I hear this loud POP and freak out, thinking saltwater leaked onto something electrical. I come running out still all wet yelling "What was that???" -- the bag he was holding with (thankfully strong) glass bottles in it broke & they hit the floor. Scared the crap outta me.

Then, last night, I noticed a small leak on the hose from the tank to the sump, so I kept looking at it to see how bad (it's really not bad at all). After my bf went to bed, I checked it again, sat down, then heard this "glurping" noise! Ack! Jumped off the couch, flung open the tank stand doors, and...nothing LOL. I think it was the cat's water fountain or something, but it sure sounded like water glurping through the hose from the tank!

I didn't get much sleep last night! Whew!

I was never this nervous the first time around, but then there wasn't plumbing involved either...

I only worry a bit. I have had a 75g loose it's seal on the bottom and leak 20gallons to the floor before I caught it. I went home for lunch. Lucky catch. I had a 29g packed with coral, 175mh, sump and all; Red Sea Prism skimmer in the sump went haywire and nuked the entire setup. All I have from that crash is some Duncans, Lobo, and some Pink Eye of God Zoas. What bothers me is the 40 items plugged into power strips. So lame.

If it falls apart fix it. It really isnt anything to stress about. Some times things happen most time they dont.
