Aquaticlife fixture .36" 4 bulb t5. The light was bought new about 4 months ago. it was ran in the stock setting for about a month whichs is 12 hours. I now run the blues for 3 hours longer then the daylight and daylight is for 8 hours. So the blue ones have more life on them. However I am starting to see more growth now then ever before. For example I am starting see a lot of heads extending out the blasto. My zoo frag both of them almost has a polyp on my rock. The new frogspawn looks to have a new head. Even the new birdsnest has growth already. But have have seen a few areas of some hair type string algea. I got in there with a toothbrush and got some. But the some is in areas I can't reach. I also see this wine colored algea. Cyano. I adjust some flow in that area and scrubbed but came right back. I used to feed rods food as my main one. Recently got mysis and feed that to them. And rods maybe twice a week. I do have a lot of flow. When I feed I like ti turn pumps off and on. Well anyway could the bulbs be a problem. Ps. The tank looks good with just the blues. But with both both more yellow. Then as I am typing I wanted to see what just daylights looked like . Very yellow almost green.

The bulbs may have a bit of life left to them. However if you're using stock bulbs it wouldn't be a bad idea to start swapping them for better quality bulbs.

It is getting close to time to replace the stock bulbs. I don't think the algae is because of the bulbs. It is most likely because of the mysis. All frozen food whuld be thoroughly rinsed to remove as much phosphate and nitrate from production and packaging.

I would suggest replacing the bulbs with 2 ATI Blue Plus , 1 ATI Aquablue Special and 1 ATI Purple Plus.

Your corals could be doing better because the tank has had time to stabilize. I would start switching a bulb a week or something like that. I'm partial to ATI. Love them blue+

That will work also. The bulb will be pinkish and do about the same as the Purple Plus.

t5s dont need to be replaced that often, and its far better on you to replace thme all at once. you dont want to replace them little by little and forget when you did what.

The order is blue, both, and just daylight.
