I took a chance about 6 weeks ago and traded some frags with a local reefer for this SPS. It was all washed out (white) with no polyp extension, I thought it was dead. He had a 2 bulb Coralife PC light over a 55, not enough for this coral...for weeks I didn't notice any sign of it recovering but 2 weeks ago I saw a few polyps, and now it's color is coming back...green with pink tips....2 small crabs are living in it, not sure what they are either.....could you ID the coral?

Hey Bama, sounds like a plan. Send me your address, where in the house your tank is located and when you're NOT gonna be home. I'll surprise you by dropping the coral off and finding a nice spot in your tank for it. Make sure you leave the door wide open too. 8)

Most of the time to identify the species you will need a microscope to look at a sample. But you can get real close a lot of the time. That is going to be a good looking coral when it colors up.
