Do you have Pączki where you live?

I just finished polishing off a Paczki and was talking to a friend out of state that told me they don't have such a thing there.

I am now wondering how common Paczki are this time of year around the country. Do you have them where you live?

In case you are wondering a Paczki is a polish pastry that we eat on or around Fat Tuesday...

hey thats got somethin to do with religion. LOL, Yeah, never heard of it. I used to live in ohio also. looks like a jelly to me. uuumm fieldsticks.

 

Never heard of it but you peaked my interest. Google search says there's a place in Dallas that makes it.
I would like to try one.

Ahh i love paczki! i just had some last week on fat thursday (similar to fat tuesday but more traditional) I can tell you pretty common in NJ, but thats mainly due to the large number of Poles around here.

 

Fat Thursday huh... never heard of that one!

The "real" paczki are stuffed with real fruit and whipped cream, not as much jelly doughnut looking... but either way they're quite the treat

 

Really? its more of the traditional Polish feast whereas fat tuesday is more of the UK and french feast.
