Do I really need a filter?

    oh yes i forgot about drilling, i just assume everyones tanks have built in overflows even though my 55 didnt lol, in that case yes it would be a little more pricey...but im still saying worth it! ) and yea hob overflows work fine, but since i now have a drilled tank i can say i def like it more...who knows maybe its time for an upgraded to a bigger tank thats already drilled haha (i have been having upgrade fever the last few days so dont mind me bahaha!)

    Reading you guys discuss this subject calms me on the complexity of a SW setup. I will start up a tank soon and was in belief that you always needed a sump, HOB is easy stuff

    The biggest expense is probably a return pump. They can get pricey on a shoestring budget.
