    haha, I didnt know that at the time because i was a total newb, but that make complete sense to me now. The reflectors play huge role in output just like the optics do for LED systems.

    Exactly. Just for an example, I was getting more par with my 175 watt MH with iwasaki 15k bulbs than a buddy of mine was getting with his xm 10000k bulbs on a 250 watt ballast. The only difference was bulb brand and he was using batwing reflectors and I was using lumenmax elites.
