This started out as a 75 Gallon All Glass tank. It sits under my 210g.

As you can see I used wood 2X4's to hold the baffles up. The second on baffle from the left is actually a support for egg crate. I will put filter floss on this and it will be the only mechanical filtration. It main purpose to reduce micro bubbles. The unit will have an Ocean Runner 6500 pump for return.
I bought glass cut to width. The length was a rough estimate.
This is how I cut the glass.
The tools include a oil glass cutter found at Hobby Lobby, two clamping devices, a straight edge, a dry erase marking pen and a tape measure (not in picture).
I make two marks the measured edge then I set the straight edge so that the wheel on the glass cutter is on the mark. I then lock down the straight edge with just enough pressure to keep it in place, too much will break the glass. With firm pressure and a steady pull, from the top to the bottom score the glass.

Place both hands on the material like shown.
Push down sharp and firm, follow through and you will have two pieces. Dang I have some ugly hands. :D

    Then fit with silicone.

I will cut the center brace from this tank. It will not be needed; the baffles will do the brace's job. Doing this will make access to the refigium easier.
If you look closely at those ugly hands you will see small cuts. This is because I did not use gloves. This stuff is sharp, like a razor. I really should have used gloves. Also do not forget the safety goggles small shards can fly when the glass is being separated.

This is the tank just after the regigium was added.

This is the tank now. I am still working on the stand.

Nice fuge... I made my fuge out of glass also...
You can use a dremel tool with a dimond bit (same ones I used to drill holes) on the exposed edges on the glass to dull them down so you won't have worry bout cuts when your fooling around in there.

I use emery cloth to soften the edges. They are sharp right after you cut the glass; this is why gloves are needed.
The dremel tool is a good idea though.

Not very hard at all. I cut old 2x4 to the height of the lower edge of the elevated baffles. When I siliconed the edges the baffles would hold themselves upright. In the pic with the wood inside of the tank, the silicone was still wet when I took the picture.
