Should go in together. You are doing great. Now just a wait for cycle to start and finish. Be patient and good things will come!

when starting out a new tank with live rock it will die off no matter, this is part and parcell of the cycling of a tank with live rock how ever their is enough good bacteria on the rock to survive this period . Its when the die of is finnished that the rock is cured and your ammonia will start to drop and the good bacteria will start to thrive.
Just remember the longer you wait during the start up of your tank the better your tank shall be in the long run

I have an 8G nanoreef tank, or is that a nano nanoreef tank. the LR came from the LFS and I brlieve it was already cured. I have a 0 reading for NH3 & NH4 a PH of 8.2 an NO3 of 12.5 and NO2 of 0.25 are these results ok for a tank that is a week old.

I started my tank with 100 lbs of sugar-sized aragonite, then added 110 lbs of uncured Lr from Fiji. It took about 3 weeks to cycle through. I am still finding new critters from the LR. I set the tank up in June '07. You should be just fine.
