Did I do a mistake by ...

Hello everyone,
Last night I had 100 lbs of rock in my 120 and it seem like my fish were always in hiding so I took some out and put it in my fuge because I had none in my fuge, and basically re-aquascape. I stack my rock so each would make a tunnel ( I wish I could take a pix right now but its too dark). Now I knew my fish would be all confused but my blue hippo does seem to like it at all, he now hangs out next to my powerhead and looks freak out at time he will swim out in the open a little but goes back to the powerhead.

I dont know if I should leave everything like that and hopefully he will get used to it or should I put some rock back and piled them up so he can go hide again, I dont like the piled up rocks, I like it more open but if that what it take for my fish I will do it.

I guess I just need advice should I leave the rock or should I go back in there and pile some up for him to go hide more?

I would just give them a couple days to get used to the new scape.

 

+1, it will take them a little bit of time to get oriented. They will be fine.

He's freaking out cuz you just changed his whole world around.

yea you just tore his world apart, but give him a day or two and he'll be back to normal, hes just lost right now.

 

Thanks guys, I just worry so much for my fish I just love them so much. He seems to check the rock work and then go back to the powerhead so he already seems to be not as bad. I was scared I didn't want him to died from stress. Thanks a bunch

 

He just doesn't know where to hide to feel safe now that you took his spot away. Give it a few days & hope that he adjusts. Imagine if someone came in and moved your world around LOL.
