I am not one that falls for "magic bean" sales. IMHO, CD's are something I wouldn't waste money on. Other pieces of equipment are more useful. The 2 people in my large club that have tried them were not satisfied. That's 2 people out of well over a couple hundred reefers.

CD's to me seem like the "tornado" for cars- all hype and no proof that they work.

I just got done turning mine off for a week because I had some NO3 problems. Turned it back on with a slower drip rate and haven't seen any problems.
    Amen ;D

So your "Magic Bean" breaker is two guys in WI. :-/

I base the information I pass along on something that I have experienced and not read or heard. These forum are helpful to a lot of people but most on here just pass along information they heard or read and think it's the Bible for marine life. I would highly suggest looking "outside the box" on stuff you read and hear.

To each their own, as I KNOW what works for me and tank.

One guy on the internet in Indiana doesn't do it for me either;)

A very wise college professor of mine told me something that I will always remember.

"Perception alters reality". That rings true for this debate.

I guess if it "works" for you, then OK, but if you saw the systems here in our club that used to use them, and took them offline, and the rest of the setups here on our club that don't use them, your opinion might be swayed.
