Deep Sea Aquatics (The people who used to make Oceanic tanks) told me that for a 90 gallon rimless tank I need to have 1/2 glass and then I will not need any euro bracing. Does anyone here have a rimless tank with 1/2" glass?
    Thanks

If they are telling you thats what you need then I am sure it is. They have been making quality tanks for a long time.

Check out glasscages.com and see their rimless tanks.

That sounds feasible, Adam. The thicker the glass, the better the adhesion to silicone, and the less crucial is the need for a brace. If you notice, the rimless tanks (the larger ones) are made with thicker glass than their same sized counterparts with rims.

2 slow--a eurobrace is not really considered a rim. It's more of an internal support, bonded to the inside of the glass or acrylic. A rim is the black plastic piece that slides over the top of the tank and holds all 4 panes in place.

I would be getting an Aquatic Life fixture with 2 150 watt DR HID bulbs and 4 54 watt HO T5. Is this enough lighting over a 100 gallon. The tank will 48x24x20. I want to avoid the chiller.
    Thanks
