    It could still be used as a snake or lizard tank! Just need some plywood or something for the back.

    Ouch that really suck.. Use a vacuum as others have suggested.

    I know it's kinda late, but you should always check with the mfg about drilling. As for what you described that is what tempered glass will do when you get it about halfway drilled.

    Question though, $200.00 for a non drilled 75gal is expensive.

    I bought the tank from Aquarium Adventure, in Columbus, Ohio. They are kind of a high-end fish store (with high prices to go with it) so that explains the price. I only got it because it was on sale for $80...so that's how much I paid for it.

    LR goes for $10 a pound at that store. lol.

    That is why the glass on the 75 DB tanks are so thin compared to other 75s. DB tanks are cheap, that is why many stores stock them.

    3/8" thick? i thought that's how thick all 75s are?

    All of the deep blue 75s i have seen are 1/4" tempered. Was there a "tempered glass" label etched in to the glass on one of the corners of each pain?
