I've decided to update this thread as a lot has gone on with my tank. Briefly, I've added many new corals, upgraded my lighting and powerheads, different livestock etc. Here are the FTS.

Here is my latest addition, a Tyree LE Montipora Undata. I got it from a tank break down for a really good price. The polyps are really cool looking, especially under actinic light.

I'm finished my fish stocking and am very happy with it. Everybody gets along, eats well and has been disease free so far. As far as corals, my tank is filling up, so I've started to be very particular with what corals I add. Here's my list so far.

    Yellow tang
    ORA Picasso Clown
    Clownfish

    ORA Blue/Green Tort
    ORA Bird of Paradise

awesome, i get to be the first to say you tank as of today looks amazing! Can i ask a quick question here without trying to hijack... i noticed you have a couple power heads going with a beautiful sandbed still... I added a couple here about 1-2 months ago in my 75 and have had a hell of a time with it blowing it around. They're two 1300 gph heads; is that just way too much?

First, thanks, I appreciate it. Second, I don't think that is too much. I use a Vortech Mp40 and a K1 to keep the flow around my frags moving. If you notice in the pics, you will see the the right side of the tank has much more sand then the left side. That's b/c of the undertoe that slowly moved it over there. For your situation, make sure to have the powerhead up higher and try to point them to the surface. Many use an "X" pattern by having one in each corner and blowing towards the opposite corner. A lot also depends on your rock work too.

Well, I needed new bulbs so I bought some from reefgeek.com. I've decided to go out on a limb here. I bought 3 ATI Blue +, 2 UVL Super Actinics and 1 UVL Actinic White. I like the blue look, and want better color in my corals. Since most vendors use 20K bulbs, I will try the following.

    Back to Front

    Super Actinic
    ATI Blue Plus
    UVL 10k
    ATI Blue +
    UVL Super Actinic
    Blue +

If I don't like that, I will substitute the 10K for the White Actinic and substitute a Blue + or Super Actinic for a Geissman 11K. Basically, I want to mess around with my bulbs.

I will post pics in the T5 Picture thread I started a while back to show you guys what they look like. However, I won't get the bulbs until next Thursday. Till then.
