    Hey Everyone,

I just noticed a black spot on the side of my male Occellaris. Should I be worried? FYI, those aren't spots on his head- probably algae from my glass.

He likely irritated a coral and got stung.

Should I be worried about that or will it go away on its own?

I think theres a chance it could get infected if im not mistaken, it should go away on its own. Let another member chime in though

A healthy fish being fed a good diet in a tank with good water parameters will just regrow his slime coat and the coloration will return to normal as new scales come in.

Cool. I just did a 25% water change today, so I'm sure that will help.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Google " Hypermelinization of clowns, rarely does it become a serious issue. Several of my clowns over the years have experienced it, the result of trying to reside in corals such as Galaxy, or even the Euphyllia group.

Do you think that green hairy mushroom's could do that? That is the only thing they ever swim around in, but they can get pretty aggressive with it sometimes.
