daisy polyps?

    It could also be an encrusting gorgonian :)

    i looked up both... and to me they look almost identical to what i have.... but mine are very very small. and with the actinics it has a neon glowing center.

    the more i look up pics the more it looks like encrusting gorgonian, does this stuff grow fast?

    The main reason I brought up an encrusting gorgonain is because the parts that are dead on the skeleton(i think?) almost look like where the corrallites used to inhabit. But it really could be either, nice looking coral no matter which route you go :)

    Depends on your lighting and water parameters, but given good conditions, yes they can spread fairly fast.

    there was nothing on that rock when i got it except for the white base, you can see all over it were polyps use to be, and its slowly coming back. i have about 12 big brown polyps that have a deep green in the center when i have my actinics only on.
