    ok, sorry some other! But your tap may be 0 nitrate, but its not zero TDS! tap water really can't be used for reef tanks!

    You just ran into another bump in the road. Tap water is a no no. even with that chlorinate stuff... You need an rodi unit. No 2 ways around it. I mean unless you like the look of algae, i would start calling a lfs and price out rodi water by the gallon usually about 25 cents/ gallon.

    Haha no worries I think I read that thread too. I will definitely buy an ro/di unit- just read up on them. Is the basic 75 GDP one from BRS fine?
