Hey guys, My tank is currently covered in Cyano. I think it's because my timer broke and there has been more "light" hours. Currently waiting for my shipment of a new CUC. At the LFS I bought a diamond Goby to stir the sand as well.

They had this thing called Chemiclean who did wonders for my tank a while back, however, as soon as the cyano dissapeared a lot of hair algae started taking over. Is there a correlation? maybe the dieoff from the cyano causes the algae to grow? (Honestly i prefer cyano over hair algae)

My question is, should I wait for CUC to arrive and do their job, or should I use the chemiclean and hopefully this time i dont get an algae take over. The stuff works almost immediately too. 2-3 days and my tank will be pristine. (until it gets run over by hairalgae if that is the cause). Any ideas?
