Curious about powerheads

So, my carpet is finally going in my living room and I will soon be able to get my tank up and running!!;D I have a 125 (traditional 6ft size) and was going to use some old powerheads I had lying around but decided to get new ones. So, my question would be, would 2 Koralia 1050's be enough? there would also be some supplemented water movement from the return from my cannister.

 

I would put a 1050 on each end of the tank and two 750s in the middle.

 

Depending on what your keeping. For fish or softies it's should be fine , just check for dead spots.

 

I would go with 3, 2 on each ends and one in the middle to ensure you don't get any dead spots. I have 3 in my 75 to give you an idea.

 

Thanks guys. I think I will go with 2 1050's and use my older mj750's in the center if needed.

 

What kind of budget are you working with? If you can afford it I would recommend going with 2 Vortech MP40s.

 

Maybe down the road, but I'm just getting started the $900 or so they would cost me will be better spent elsewhere right now. They do seem pretty awesome though!.
