i was wondering if it is possible to cure live rock with epsom saltwater or rock saltwater? i am just trying to get out of the expense of using saltmix only to change it out everyother day or so. any input would be great.

Epsom salt is actually magnesium sulfate.

What kind of cure are you looking for? Are you looking to get rid of all life and everything on the rock. Some will put it in freshwater and some water movement and change the water out frequently.

Other cures have included saltwater holding tank with a protein skimmer pulling the garbage out (only the first dose of salt is used). There are a couple ways, lead on more to what you're looking to acheive

Is it a new tank you are setting up or just adding more rock ? The Nastiest of L/R just needs a good skimmer . If you used a good quality rock no curing sbould be needed really

well this is the deal, i have a 46 gal that i let go all to hell (no water changes, adding regular tap water to top off and not checking parameters) the water started stinking bad and there were a few dead corals. i have now taken down the 46 gal and am starting a 10 gallon but i want to use the rock out of the 46 gal in it. the rock is covered in algae and stinks and i do not want to destroy my 10 gal before i even get it started. i had even thought about putting the rock in a bleach solution and soaking it and starting all over again.

maybe freshwater and a toothbrush and then soak it a while after. bleach isn't all to bad, but it may be overkill

I would just purchase more rock if your really worried. I had a 12 gallon nano dx I took down. But I ended up still getting a piece to fit perfect in my new 5.5 gal nano...
