I just set up my Eshopps E300 and as soon as I turned it on the cup filled with water and bubbles. I have the water level in the skimmer as low as I can get it. Is this because it needs to break in? I close off the air so there are no more bubbles and it stops over flowing.

Sounds like it could need to break in. Although, mine didn't bubble much for a few days. I'd just give it a few days running and see what happens.

Same thing happened with my tunze 9410. I closed the air valve and each day or two opened it a 1/4 turn until it was broke in.You will find the sweet spot on your unit.
