 I just found out that we had a pump failure in my FOWLR tank overnight and everything died!

I had Goldie, my large Golden puffer that I have had for couple years, my show niger, porcupine puffer and huma trigger....all are dead!

I am so pissed and mad at myself over this! Pump failed and they did not have enough oxygen I guess, so one died and then guess the toxins killed everything else!

:( Sorry to hear this Mel. I know Goldie and the other fish must have meant a lot to you. I remember Goldie from that video contest a few years ago.

Hydor Korallia wasn't running and breaking the surface of the water. The canister filter doesn't break the surface of the water. They were getting no Oxygen. It's a tall tank as opposed to a tank with a lot of surface area so Oxygen exchange is VERY important with fish that are that big.

Again, sorry for your losses. Good luck with the restocking, maybe pick up an extra powerhead just as a backup in case one stops working.

not sure if we are going to restock it..... It is going to be a long time before I have the desire to do it. Goldie was a one of a kind fish....literally a puppy dog! She would let me pet her and would come to the top of the tank and spit water at us and then "wag her tail" I am still in shock.....this is as bad as when I had to put my dog down (only fellow fish owners could understand)
