crab

I have a crab i found in my Aquarium it has white stripes on its claws and hides under my mushrooms so i cant get a pic. Any ideas so i can do some research on it see if its a pest?

 

What color is the crab besides the white stripes?

 

tan sorta and smooth, like its not spiney or anything

 

and hes hiding in a hole under the mushroom i know its not a mantis ive had one of those before

Is it a arrow crab? Is it skinny? What body type does it have?

 

cant see the body hes hiding under some mushrooms and goes in and out of the holes in the rock

 

Can't be of much help to ya my friend with out knowing more. Are you sure its a crab and not a shrimp? Try watching for it to come out after lights out. It could take a couple hours but it has to come out to eat.

 

well it deffinatly had crab like claws so im assuming its a crab. it was picking at the rock but wouldnt come out where i could see it
I do have hermits and shore crabs in the tank as well and the claws look the same other then the color

 

Well try the lights out approach and when he comes snap a pic.

 

lights are out now and i can see movement so im just going to wait in ambush and try snapping a pic thanx for the help ill kepp you posted
