    Helloooo.

Just wondering, how well would a crab (maybe a pom pom or a hermit) do in a pico tank? I'm not talking about a tank made specifically for marine life, but one of those one gallon starter kit things from Petco. I probably won't even go through with the project, but I want to make sure to determine if it is remotely even a good idea.
    I was considering this tank:

I don't want to keep fish or coral, just inverts is all.
I've read that it isn't really a good idea to house fish in those tanks, but crabs are supposed to be very hardy. I know that keeping a pico tank is generally very difficult and a bad idea for a beginner (or less than a beginner like me) becuase it is very hard to control the conditions, from what I've heard. If it is not a good idea, then I won't go through with it and I'll stick to freshwater.
I intend to keep a crab, 2 hermits, 2 narcissus snails, and a few algae eating snails.
    Thanks in advance.

honeslty, you should be fine, but in the long run, you will run into problems. The filter is no where near adequate. The mechanical filtration will turn into a nitrate factory. Honestly though, IMO i would do it because you arent going to have any fish and water changes will be a breeze. I am doing the same kind of thing with my picotope. Good Luck!~!
