Crab ID, Confirmation!

    I'm pretty sure this is a rock crab, but not 100%!:-/ I thought I was lucky enough to catch him, but this is just a moult. Also any info on him would be apreceatted... How bad are they, how to maybe catch it??

    that looks a lot like the one i just caught, mines got an orange ring around the end of the claws seems the only difference.i have no idea what he is!lol

    Jeez, when I first saw it, I thought it looked like a little pile of poo. So, since I have no idea what kind it is, I will guess.....Hmmmmm......crabus pooicus minimus.

    from personal experience and info from others pointed black tipped claws, or hair on their exoskeleton usually spells trouble...it does look like an emerald crab but emeralds have white rounded tips...those tips seem rounded but i dont know...also was the little bugger hairy? do you watch him eat algae? if i were you his fate would be pinned under chopsticks;D;D;D

    My emerald crab originally started off a pretty green color, and then I never see him for weeks at a time. the last time I seen him he had turned almost blackish, but i didnt get a glimpse at his whole body, but he did turn pretty dark

    Black tips says its a type of stone crab.
