I ended up with a major score today at work. I previously posted about a broken, but brandnew prizm I came across at work my boss basically gave to me...To make a long story short I took two hours to piece it back together and it would not fit in my sump...So I brought it into work today and told the boss what happened and he let me take a CPR Bakpak 2 off one of our reef tanks and replace it with the Prizm I rebuilt and take the Bakpak home ;D I did however completely clean it out which I thought would be good to get all the power in it back by cleaning the pump, breather tubes etc., but bad because the thing would have to re-season itself to work properly...Boy was I wrong...after three hours this bad boy already started producing dark and gunky skimmate. Hats off to the crew at CPR for a fabulous product. Seems to run a tad noisy, but other than that no complaints.

What ph are you using? The MJ1200 that used to come with the Bak Pak 2 is incredibly noisy. CPR Aquatics some time ago switched to an Accela pump which is considerably quieter. Ameka Aquatics
