    Hello, new to the forum.

It have been browsing a lot and it looks like there is a lot of info here.

Here is a link to my 20gallon tall.

Well on to my question. I am trying to reduce the micro bubbles on my cpr skimmer. I have had it running for about 5 days. I know there is a break in period. I am producing a lot of skimmate but just trying to reduce the micro bubbles.

Should I put a filter sock on the return pipe to catch micro bubbles. I was also thanking of adding a pipe to it the makes the return more flat. The micro bubbles are not as bad anymore but just want to reduce it a little.

    Sorry for the ramble

Are you using the bubble trap that they sell?

I had one with the surface filter and the bubble eliminator, and it worked ok.

a filter sock will work well.

    1) Give the bak-pak about 2 weeks to break in. If you still have constant issues with bubbles use a small 100 micron filter sock attached to the output pvc pipe.
    2) Remove the gravel you are using and use an aragonite base substrate. You will have problems with keeping the pH constant with the painted rocks. Anyway, the salt will corrode the paint.
