    GO! Covey GO!

Think about 1 or 2 Wave 2k units. I was putting some coral in last night and there were no dead spots in my tank. I posted some photos today. Within hours everything was opening up. Today was incredible eveything was looking great. I'll take another video and post it on the My Wave 2K thread now that I have critters.:)

    Good luck sounds awsome!8)

Its on the list. I think it would do a good job of keeping detritus from settling in back of the rock s where it would be hard to vacuum. Its a 150G BB SPS tank there is going to be TONS of flow. Probably around 80X plus.

Sorry to hear your bed was clumping. This happens more than most people know. While I favor keeping our hands of our tanks as much as possible (our skin oils mess with protein skimmers), checking out the status of our sandbeds should be done occasionally IMO.

I'm in my busy season right now. However, I'll try to check in on this thread to see the changes as often as possible.

The good new and the bad new. The good I got paid today and went in to get my tank and its payed for. Bad news it isn't in stock and it won't be here until next wednesday.

Most of you guys have seen it but here is the discussion on my lights.

I am planning to see what the T-5s are capable of in 4' of the tank and then getting a top shelf MH setup for the other 2'. Run that for a while and see what I like.

This is the load bearing 2x4 part. 2x4 supports 2x4 and everything is glued and deck screwed together probably overboard but it was still only $40 in lumber and screws. I am not sure yet how I am going to skin it yet.
    What do you think?

Covey you could put a car on that stand no problem. Will there be any equipment under the tank? As far as skinning it just try and make it match the other wood furniture in the house so it looks like it was meant to be there.

Yea, I'm buying or building a Wavebox and I didn't want it to wobble the stand to bits.
My apartment is modern looking loft. I got unfinished concrete, brick, white dry wall, and grey carpet. I was thinking of this grey fleck looking spray paint so it would look it the concrete but it has a rough texture and I think in would be impossibly to clean. I don't know yet.

Also going bigger!!Sold my 75 gal reef tank for a 125gal reef set up. $272.00 for the tank with overflows and another $193.00 for the stand.. Not a bad price huh? Then I need to get, I feel, the best for the price, the Corallife hood light with the 3(250watt)metal halides and 4(96watt)power compacts and moon lights!!I believe that runs around $1,100. Don't quote me on the light price though. Have fun!!!

;D The tank came in today. For size comparisons that is a 55G behind it. I am going to need a bigger mag float. The glass is like 3/4"!

Here a pic of my foot long Midas cichlid eyeing the tank. He is going to get the hand me down 75g in the deal.
