I have a 20g long fuge and was wondering if i could keep a peacock mantis shrimp down there. The tank is glass and the actualy fuge compartment dimensions are 24x 12x 10in tall. Is this large enough? I only have chaeto growing down there and a large piece of LR

I think you could do it........get a young one to start with and may have to move him out when he gets bigger. Bob my peacock was 12" when she died. You would want to add more rock, esp smaller pieces as they like to smash and redecorate, versus 1 large piece. You could smash the rock into smaller pieces.........

Make sure you give it a PVC pipe so it can get away from the light. Peacocks with too much light get shell disease.

Make it big enough that it can spin around inside it. Basically, get the mantis first and see how big it is.

Anything. Frozen krill, Frozen Formula 1, Large Mysis Shrimp, etc

depends on how bad you want it. im sure other people might pay that, some might not, IMO in this hobby most things dont have a "fair" price.

I think it is a fair price.......at least that is what I would pay for one You could order one online maybe for a little cheaper, however then you would have to pay shipping and you would not see it before you buy it
