corals touching

    does it matter if corals touch each other? got a toadstool slightly touching some of my yellow polp

    It can matter a lot with very many corals. In this situation, I doubt it would be an issue. Sarcophytons maintain their space via alleopathy (chemical warfare). Your carbon will remove most of these. The yellow polyps (parazoanthus) use stinging methods. However, their sting is fairly mild so I doubt they could affect the toadstool.

    I would just watch them and see how they react.

    I have a favia close to my toadstool and the Favia's polyps touch it and almost eat away at the toadstool. The toadstool still has his polyps out and is doing good. You don't want corals that are not that hardy to be touching.
