    Salifert is my favorite.
I use their magnesium test kit as well. Just out of curiosity, what kind of salt are you using. Is it a reef salt?

I had the same problemn with IO.. You probably might want to switch to a reef salt. Also, I have not had to dose at all with 10 percent weekly water changes.

I had virtually no coraline growth with IO. Someone at the LFS told me to switch to reef salt...and it made a instant difference! I think it has allot to do with the minerals that reef salt has!

Actually....interesting case in point...Last week I had an emergency situation with an anemone that decided to commit suicide and potentially nuke my tank so I had to do emergency large water changes. I ran out of reef salt and had to use IO. I just did my weekly tests and my calc was low! I had to dose calc for the first time since I have swithched to reef salt on 10 percent water changes per week. I went ahead and dosed Coral vite too tonight. I have 110 gallon tank and within 24 hours I had changed 50 gallons with IO. My calcium is usually right at 450 but this time it was 380!

My calcium levels are fine, maybe even a little high. I think I was using IO in my first tank and I had substantial growth.

I don't have liquid tests yet, but here are some pictures. Notice the loss of deep purple color on the new rock addition (the one with the mushrooms). Also notice the complete lack of growth on the other rock.

Still no growth, just continual breaching. Seachem tests are in route and I should have my new light unit here in a week and a half.
