I posted this question before but this time I have a picture! On the glass AROUND the starfish, I know what the starfish is, please just ID the algea on the glass. Is that green/brown coralline algea or a type of pest algea? Please let me know! Thanks.

Yeah, looks lie film algae probably, maybe with some diatoms mixed in. If a magfloat dosn't work, a credit card should. Or if not a razor blade definitely will. Just don't use a razor blade if it's an acrylic tank, but on glass they are much more effective than plastic scrapers.

Definately NOT film algea. This stuff is rock hard just like the pink coralline except a greeny/brown color and it is only growing on the glass and the snails I have can't eat it off. To me it looks more like coralline. Film algea doesn't look like that anyway, I know what film algea looks like, I use to have a bad case of it in my old tank and this is not film. I have absolutely NO algea in this tank other than coralline and this algea that looks like coralline. It doesn't grow very fast either like most other nusiance algea does. My phosphates are 0 too. I personally think it is a not so common coralline but I just want some other guesses too. And the only algea I know of that grows in circles like that is coralline.

its film algae still. uses calcium. baby pods and snails loe it but like i said it becomes a chore. tough stuff to scrape that's why m2434 suggested using a razor blade

Ah yes I have that on my tank as I type this. A mag scrubber will work, but is hard to come off. I have a extendable glass scrapper that I bought at Petco for $13.00 that works like a dream. It will take that and coraline algae right off the glass with ease.
