just wana double check my math if you will... low Ca and or Kh would cause this in a stoney dominated tank (95 n 5) not to mention clams x2 ( ca hogs). at last test
    Ca 420
    Kh 9.3
    MG 1400
    P04 0.01

any other reasons that i have yet to think of ? sides lighting ( not the problem, as it has been established)

Besides those, not really. Maybe trace elements? How often do you do a WC?

I've noticed mine bleaches sometimes and then comes back. I've never been able to figure out what is causing it.

IME, low or fluctuating dKH, or a change to more intense light.

I think all of the causes are covered unless your iodine is low. Coralline like iodine at .06.

If it does bleach, no sweat..It should come back in a few weeks. or less lol, i sell "frags" of coraline algae to people sometimes. IN other words, scraping off loads of coraline for 5 bucks.

If everything has been covered, has your Ca or alk fluctuated, or is it relatively stable? I would think that at your levels, coraline should grow fine.

I had my coraline bleach with a slight increase in photoperiod. At the time, most of the coraline in the tank grew in shaded or lower light areas, not at all in direct light. When the photoperiod increased, it put it over the edge and it died off rather quickly. Nobody could really help me out with it at the time. Now that I have a lower light LPS tank, it grows everywhere. I use the coraline growth more as an indication of light intensity in a given area, if that helps.

Careful, you can overdose iodine too. If you're doing regular water changes as you said, it shouldn't be necessary to dose for it.
