Does anyone know how to ID a Coralife RO unit? It doesn't seem to have any marking on it, and I need filters for it.

I guess it's not as easy as I had hoped.

Are you trying to figure out what gpd ro membrane you need? If you take the waste fittings off of the ro housing, you can remove the installed flow restricter. Buy a capillary flow restricter from spectrapure for $5.00. Buy any gpd membrane and cut the restricter accordingly.

here's some pics of my old one. Maybe this may help you.

if you took the sticker off it would look pretty generic.

You will have to remove the membrane from the housing to see what you have. It will be printed or stamped on the membrane.

If you are planning to replace the membrane, you really don't need to know what you have since you should get a 75 or 90 GPD membrane and matched flow restrictor to replace it.
Towards the bottom of the page here are specially treated and individually hand tested 90 GPD membranes and a matched flow restrictor for $44 complete, thats cheaper than a less efficient and lower GPD Coralife membrane and it will be a direct replacement. The 90 is also guaranteed in writing to be better than 98% efficient, my personal one is doing 99.35% still after over 3 years of heavy use.

    MEM-S-0090/FR 90 Gallon Per Day Tested RO Membrane + FR-90 $44

That sounds like the way I will have to go. The membranes aren't different sizes?

Coralife uses a standard 1812 configuration so any Dow Filmtec or Spectrapure membrane will fit in your housing. Make sure you get the correct sized flow restrictor to go along with it though as this is what controls the waste ratio and keeps the membrane flushed.
