    Hello there,
I just got my SW tank set up last week and put the Coralife 65 into the sump yesterday. I found that the skimmer is shooting way too much bubble, or should I say too fast? I did a little bit research and did the adjustment as the internet suggested. The problem still exist. Please see attached pics for my current skimmer settings. Thanks a lot! Your suggestions will be highly appreciated.

Are these pics with a fresh water test? Your skimmer will most likely not run correctly unless it is in salt water. Looks like you have a nice set up there.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but when a skimmer is running wet like this, is it not due to getting to much air? Try dialing it down more.

    This, for starters.

On top of that, the Coralife superskimmers are very finicky when it comes to dialing them it. I played with mine for a few days, first making coarse adjustments with the valve on the intake, then fine adjustments on the red knob near the output. There is a 3-4 day "break in" period before the skimmer will really start behaving properly.

That being said, you probably won't be too happy with that skimmer (mine went in the trash just a few months after I bought it). Lack of skimmate and mico-bubbles galore. It's decent for the price, I suppose, but there are much better options out there for only a slight increase in price. Of course, that's all personal opinion so take it with a grain of salt :)

Thanks for the reply, this is a salt water tank with a reading of 0.0125. After a quick clean up the skimmer looks fine now.

Please feel free to take a look of my new tank, two damsels were added to speed up the cycle.
