i have a 48" Coralife T5 HO Quad lunar aqualight and i'm looking to upgrade the bulbs from 10,000K to 12,000K but i can't seem to find any, i'm guessing that i just dont know the right place to look.

can someone point me in the right direction?

i believe the actinics that came with it are good enough, but if there are better that will fit in it, i'm open to suggestions! :)

My corals (lps, softies)actually prefer the 10k.;)
ATI are the best but their daylight bulbs are around 15k.
    There actinics are awesome.
You could do 2 blue plus and 2ab specials.

Are those normal output T5 bulbs or high output? I think Coralife only made T5 in normal output so check the watt of the bulb you have now to be sure anything you get will work in that fixture

Actually no, they do make T5HO as well as T5NO fixtures and bulbs. IIRC, they do not make a daylight bulb higher than 10000k, however. The ATI Aquablue Special is 12000k.

According to MD the AB Special.
Combines the properties of a full-spectrum bulb with an elevated blue color peak producing a bulb with an approximate color temperature of 15000K.
