Will the zoas growing on the same frag disk hurt the monti?

As already stated, with the color combination it has it could be a pokerstar.
No, the zoas will not hurt/damage it.

Yeah... I'm gonna have to vote against a monti. I think it is an acro. I have an acro that looks exactly like that before it sprouts a branch.

Can you get a top down pic

It looks to be a Leng Sy cap Monti.
I have a green one with pink polyps.
Are those zoo's lunar eclipse by chance?

Hey guys thanks again for all the help.

The frag disk is placed up high on a rock in pretty moderate flow. It looks like the monti likes it there so far so we'll see how it goes!!
When I picked up the frag I didn't notice that the monti was attached so hopefully being up HIGH in the tank even though under T5s will be good for it :D
If anyone wants to chime in please do :)

I'm not sure. They didn't have a name. They are pinkish in the centers and have a tiger striped eggshell/brownish pink skirt. I think they're palys but honestly I can't tell the difference between most palys and zoas unless it's the big button palys....

I was thinking the same thing.

Either way, you'll want to get those zoanthids away from it as they won't "play nice" together.

At the moment it looks like a poker star monti, but that might all change if it branches up and out.

If it does that, it could possibly be an ORA purple plasma (or similar).

    edit....

I looked at the pic again, and the corallites are placed too close together with very little elevation from each corallite.

At this point, I would have to say pokerstar montipora. But, give it month. if it starts shooting up, then it is probably not a pokerstar encrusting monti.

I have a funky encrusting green monti that shoots off "elkhorn" branches. Until it started shooing those off, I could have sworn it was an encrusting monti.
